From 1996 to 2007, with the exception of 1997, Bill Gates was the richest person on Earth.
In 2019, he became so again, despite donating 54 billion dollars of his fortune to charities over a period of 25 years. Without that gesture, he would have continuously remained the richest on Earth for many more years.
It all started with the title of a 1997 newspaper article below.
Bill wrote to his father.
Dad, maybe we can do something about this.
In the same year (1997), he went to India to administer the polio vaccine to children. He dreamed of a polio-free world.
Since then, he has been tirelessly trying to reduce infant mortality through vaccination all over the developing world.
In 1994, Bill Gates created the Gates Foundation, led by his father William H. Gates.
The charities did not limit themselves to vaccination alone. The Foundation initiates projects:
In 1999, the Foundation was renamed the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation - Strategic Investment Fund.
Don't let the name “Strategic Investment Fund” fool you. There is no investment here to make money. For the Foundation, the return in dollars is $0.
It's important to remember that through these “investments,” Gates is simply giving away tens of billions of dollars (1/3 of his personal property).
In 2008, Bill retired from Microsoft to fully engage with the Foundation.
Through the Foundation, he gives $54 billion out of his own pocket.

It is obvious that an organization, including the Foundation, is investing its unused capital. The Foundation's capital is invested in shares of 24 different companies.

None of them are pharmaceuticals. Neither of the 19 other participations develops or produces drugs or vaccines.
Only through Berkshire Hathaway (540 billion market capitalization with 4.1% pharmacy shares) does the Foundation invest 2.3% of its assets in the pharmaceutical industry. So she won't get richer by promoting the use of drugs and vaccines. She does make donations to promote research into new or improved drugs and vaccines.
I have not been able to fully figure out the composition of Bill Gates' personal portfolio. What we do know is that he still has just over 50 billion dollars of shares in Microsoft and that of the other 70 billion dollars, a significant part (50 to 60%) is invested in Berkshire Hathaway (with his good friend Warren Buffet). So there is still a good 30 billion left. With this, he cannot recoup the billions he gives away.

It is surprising that Bill Gates is suspicious of three qualities that are normally seen as positive.

I hear you say, the conspiracy theorists. That is indeed the case. But 'the' conspiracy theorist does not exist.
People who believe in conspiracy theories can be found in many corners of society and you can find them in degrees. Conspiracy thinking is always about distrust, power, loss of freedom and also reflects impotence and fear.
We should mainly look for Gates' attackers in the following categories:
Bill Gates is a super-rich and passionate advocate of large-scale vaccination. He sets up vaccination programs worldwide to vaccinate millions, especially children in third world countries. A dream target for “conspiracy theorists.”

Above, we saw that Gates was “caught” by the suffering of children in the developing world in 1997. Since then, he has been unconditionally committed to improving their well-being and health. One of the means to do this is vaccination.
The Earth is becoming overpopulated. Gates states that if there is less child mortality in third world countries, fewer children will also be “created”. This would help to slow down population growth. To achieve this, he is setting up large-scale vaccination programs. Is this statement correct?
In addition to vaccinating, he also sets up projects in those countries to improve general living conditions, health care and education.
It is a fact that a better standard of living, including health care, also reduces child mortality and the number of children per family. On the other hand, we note that the world population has grown explosively along with a better standard of living and better health care. People are getting older.
Conspiracy theorists demonize him and give his statements for “striving for a reduced growth of the world's population” deliberately incorrect weather as “it reducing the world's population through vaccination”. Which is completely different from what he said.
The next outbreak? We're not ready
In 2015, in response to the Ebola outbreak, Gates said that humanity was unprepared for a major pandemic, that the virus would spread through the air and that millions could die. He did this in a speech entitled: “The next outbreak? We're not ready”.
Is Gates clairvoyant?
Some find it incredible that Gates predicted a pandemic as the biggest threat to the world's population and that we are now effectively dealing with the coronavirus. Without any concrete evidence, they even suspect him of having manufactured and spread the virus in order to enrich himself through mass vaccination.

However, if you read the overview below, you shouldn't be super smart to decide that pandemics are all-time and we can therefore expect them in the future. In addition, if you know that the world's population has grown very explosively over the past 100 years, you also know that pandemics are not only becoming increasingly likely, but that there will also be a higher number of deaths.
And spreading it through the air? The most common viruses spread through the air (cough, sneeze). That is nothing new.

The first known major outbreaks date back to the Middle Ages (1500) and raged for almost 500 years with a total of around 300 to 400 million deaths, 60% of those affected died.
Since the second half of the 1970s, the disease has not occurred due to an extensive global vaccination campaign.

first outbreak 1817 (India) with a 2nd wave in 1848/1849. There were still cholera outbreaks in 1917 (Yemen) and 1919 (Mozambique).

Today, the plague still occurs very sporadically. The disease has not yet been completely eradicated.

It's been around for at least 5,000 years. In our time, 200 to 300 million people are infected each year and some 400,000 are still killed per year.

Gates is the largest private donor in the fight against the corona virus. He is now funding this fight with absolute priority. He is now putting other projects, including the fight against ebola and HIV, in second place.
For Bill Gates, computers and chips are commonplace.
An additional accusation is the insinuation that a nano-chip is inserted along with the corona test or the vaccine. This would allow 'people' to control and even 'direct' you. People are even going so far that this is why the 5G network absolutely needs to be pushed through. This one also points the finger at Gates.
This claim makes no sense at all. There is currently no chip that can be inserted into the body via a needle. It is equally absurd that this would happen via a corona test. This test only draws some body fluid superficially, without an injection or injury. If you leave anything behind, it will be gone in no time at all or the first sneeze.
Tall trees catch a lot of wind
You give away 1/3 (54 billion dollars) of your property to charities and you get nothing in return, not even through interests in companies. So how the hell can you enrich yourself through these donations?
You are not stupid. You know that deadly pandemics occur on a regular basis. You see that millions, sometimes as many as a few 100 million people die as a result, more than in a war. You also know that the most common viruses spread through the air. But you note that there is no adequate plan to address these life-threatening catastrophes. So are you a clairvoyant if you draw attention to this? Or do you just see clearly what others don't see?
In your drive to save people in the developing world a lot of suffering, in particular, you may be a little too passionate in your approach. You may want to vaccinate too much. You forget that there are people who look at that differently than you do. They believe that, in some cases, you should also let nature do its work for the good in the long term. Do you have bad intentions then? Or are you just too energetic and is it good to listen to other people's valid arguments as well?
Being super-rich is enough to be mistrusted. Some go further and become your enemy. They insinuate and lie to fight you, but don't provide any concrete evidence. In a gratuitous way, they undermine your reputation and make you suspect. And yet, you continue to do what you think is right.
By telling the same lie a thousand times, it becomes a truth.
